Signs you need lawn care
- Brown patches that spread instead of filling in
- Dandelions, crabgrass, or bindweed taking over the edges
- The lawn is thin and spongy no matter how much you water
- Water runs off the lawn instead of soaking in
- You mow it yourself and it still looks rough by Wednesday
- Thatch so thick you can feel it underfoot

Questions about lawn care
How often do you mow?
Weekly from April to October for most lawns. We slow to every other week when growth stalls in the heat and again in the fall.
Do you treat weeds?
Yes. Pre-emergent in early spring for crabgrass, and spot treatment for broadleaf weeds through the season. We tell you what we used and when it is safe for pets and kids.
Why aerate in the fall?
Clay soil packs down over the summer. Pulling cores in September opens it up so water and fertilizer reach the roots before the first freeze.
